205/55 R16 Classic Tires

From 1985 Porsche started to offer 16” wheels as an option on its 911, fitting the new 205/55YR16 PIRELLI CINTURATO™P7 N4 on the front and 225/50YR16 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 on the rear of the Porsche 930 Turbo, 911 Carrera Coupe, 911 Sport, 911 Targa and Targa Sport and 911 Cabriolet and Cabriolet Sport.

From 1986 the 911 Turbo Sport used 205/55YR16 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 N4 on the front with a 245/45YR16 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 on the rear. In 1987 this set up with the larger rears moved onto the 911 Carrera SS, 911 Targa, Coupe and Cabriolet. The 16” P7 set up became common place towards the end of the ‘80s on most of the Porsche 911 range and into the 964, 968 and even 993 range of the early ‘90s. The 205/55R16 PIRELLI CINTURATO ™ P7 N4 is also an option for the mid ‘80s 924 S and was also the front tire on 944 Lux,S, Turbo and Cab models from the mid ‘80s into the ‘90s.
