Many cars that originally came with a 165HR14 vintage tire such as an MGB, Alfa Romeo Spider, Giulia, GTA, GTV and 1750 can switch to a 185/70VR14 classic tire as a way of increasing their tire footprint while maintaining the correct diameter. The advantage of using the PIRELLI 185/70VR14 CN36 instead of a modern 185/70 R14 tire, is that the mold of the CINTURATO ™ CN36 was developed in conjunction with cars of this period, and the tire’s rounded shoulders maintain the progressive handling that a modern 185/70 VR 14 tire would not.
