205VR15 PIRELLI CINTURATO ™ CN72 – In the mid-1960s, car advancements accommodated larger tires, prompting Pirelli to introduce the 205 VR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO™ CN72 HS in 1964. This tire, with its V speed rating allowing for continuous speeds of up to 149mph, quickly became the top choice for high-end Italian cars like Lamborghini and Ferrari. In the UK, while luxury brands like Rolls Royce and Aston Martin initially used 815X15 bias ply tires, the 205 VR15 size, particularly the PIRELLI CINTURATO™ CN72 HS, soon became the preferred choice for sporty driving.

.These HS (High Speed) PIRELLI CINTURATO ™ tires took the world by storm. Cars such as the Maserati Mistral changed from 16″” Borrani Wheels to 15″” Borrani wheels so they could take advantage of this new tire technology. Many other Italian Exotic car fitments such as the ISO Grifo & Rivolta, Lamborghini 350 Gt, 400 GT 2+2, Islero, Miura & Espada, Maserati Mexico, Sebring, Ghibli, & QuattroPorte, Ferrari 500 SuperFast, 365 Spider & 330 GT 2+2. They were also an option for the early Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, Series 2 DB6 and Aston Martins 6-cylinder DBS.
